Terms of Trade

Reed Design aims to provide practical, flexible creative and technical support for businesses in a straightforward and collaborative way. Below is a summary of key points of our Terms of Trade, the full downloadable PDF is at the bottom of the page.

How we work

Most work is provided on an hourly or ongoing support basis. Some projects may be quoted at a fixed price where appropriate.
Because creative and technical work often evolves during a project, estimates are intended as guides unless otherwise confirmed in writing. If additional work or revisions are requested outside the original scope, we will discuss this with you before proceeding where practical.

Communication & approvals

Clients are responsible for reviewing and approving all supplied work before it is published, printed, manufactured, launched, or otherwise used. This includes checking:

• spelling and content

• pricing and dates

• technical functionality

• dimensions and specifications

• final suitability for your intended use

Once work has been approved or used publicly, responsibility for final implementation passes to the client.

Third-party services

Many projects rely on third-party platforms and providers such as:
• web hosting
• social media platforms
• printers
• plugins
• advertising systems
• software services
While we endeavour to provide reliable support and guidance, we cannot guarantee the reliability, uptime, policies, or performance of third-party systems outside our control.

Results & advice

Creative, marketing, technical, and digital services can improve business outcomes, but specific commercial results cannot be guaranteed. Any guidance or recommendations provided are general in nature, and clients remain responsible for final business decisions and implementation.

Payment terms

Invoices are generally issued monthly and are payable within 14 days unless otherwise agreed.
Late payments may result in delays or suspension of ongoing work.

Intellectual property

Final project deliverables become the client’s property once all related invoices have been paid. Reed Design retains ownership of internal working files, templates, processes, and reusable systems unless otherwise agreed. Reed Design may display completed work in portfolios and promotional materials. If the client prefers their project to remain private, they need to communicate this.
